Nestled amidst the rugged beauty of the Adelaida District in Paso Robles, California, Adelaida Winery has a rich history dating back to its founding by Dr. Stanley Hoffman. Dr. Hoffman's visionary planting of Pinot Noir in the craggy hillside terrain of HMR Vineyard marked the beginning of this winery's journey. In 1973, he also introduced Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay to the same vineyard, showcasing his belief in the region's potential. Situated 1400-1800 feet above sea level in the Santa Lucia Mountains, Adelaida's vineyards benefit from an idyllic microclimate. The Hoffman family, led by Dr. Hoffman and his sons, David and Michael, has dedicated themselves to producing only estate-bottled premium wines. Adelaida's story began with Dr. Hoffman's quest to find a region...check our brand Adelaida
Picpoul , also referred to as Piquepoul or Picapoll, is a grape variety primarily cultivated in France's Rhone Valley and Languedoc areas, as well as in Catalonia, Spain. The grape comes in different variants including the dark-skinned Picpoul noir, the light-skinned Picpoul blanc, and the less common Picpoul gris. Among these, Piquepoul blanc is notably prevalent, with its cultivation covering 1,000 hectares (2,500 acres) in France as of the year 2000, and the figures have been on the rise. The grape variety is characterized by its late budding and a certain vulnerability to ailments like powdery mildew. Tracing back its roots, Picpoul boasts a rich heritage in the Languedoc region. It stands as one of the region's most ancient indigenous grape types, alongside Cinsault and...Please check Picpoul Blanc for more information

Winemaker of Adelaida Picpoul Blanc Anna's Estate Vineyard 2021

      Jeremy Weintraub

      Jeremy Weintraub

Jeremy Weintraub, a vintner with a profound passion for the land, joined Adelaida Winery in 2012, injecting the estate with his wealth of experience and a deep respect for the terroir. His winemaking philosophy is beautifully simple: create wines that echo their origins, embodying intensity, fragrance, and longevity, while reflecting the unique character of the vineyards that nurture them. Weintraub's role at Adelaida is that of a steward, carefully selecting the sites where vines thrive best, nurturing them to produce exceptional grapes that form the foundation of outstanding wines. Elaine Brown of Hawk Wakawaka Wine Reviews encapsulates his approach as a "quest for intimacy with the vineyard rooted in an eye towards refinement." Before Adelaida, Jeremy honed his craft at Napa... More Products
