This Pinot Noir, a standout offering from the prestigious Wayfarer vineyards, encapsulates the harmony and intensity characteristic of the 2021 vintage.

On the eye, the wine presents a mesmerizing hue, a vivid interplay of deep ruby and subtle garnet reflections, inviting the first sip. The visual allure sets the stage for an aromatic journey that is both intricate and captivating. The nose is greeted with an elegant bouquet where fresh rose seamlessly intertwines with the richness of black currant and blackberry. This fruity vibrancy is beautifully complemented by the zest of blood orange, adding a fresh and citrusy dimension. The aroma further unfolds with intriguing notes of crushed earth and soy sauce, lending an earthy complexity. A hint of allspice weaves through the profile, while the essence of strawberry fields endows a charmingly sweet and nostalgic finish to the aromatic experience.

The palate is where the Wayfarer WF2 Pinot Noir truly shines. It is a testament to the skilled winemaking process that prioritized native yeast fermentation and thoughtful aging in French oak barrels. The linear palate is a symphony of flavors, with freshly picked strawberries and blackberries taking center stage. These berry notes, at their peak ripeness, are layered with an indulgent undercurrent of decadent dark chocolate mousse. This combination achieves a balance between fruitiness and richness, making each sip a multifaceted exploration.

The 2021 vintage was marked by a dry, warm, and even climate, which is reflected in the wine’s remarkable density and complexity. The early budbreak and consistent weather conditions allowed for even ripening across the vineyard, contributing to the wine’s structured, energetic profile and delicate aromatics.

Offers showy raspberry and boysenberry puree notes that stream through, gilded liberally with anise, violet and hibiscus accents. Shows a sense of polish on the finish, though there's a good tug of structure at the very end as well.

The 2021 Pinot Noir The Estate (previously labeled "Pinot Noir Wayfarer Vineyard") has inviting aromas of cranberry sauce, mushroom, allspice and bitters. The palate's concentrated, nuanced fruit is structured by focused acidity and generous, powdery tannins, and it finishes with a flourish of spicy accents. It's drinking beautifully now and will develop savory complexity in bottle over the next decade.

A deep ruby, the 2021 Pinot Noir The Estate is ripe and layered with an attractive perfume of cardamom, pure wild raspberry, and fresh sage. Medium-bodied, it expands with good length and concentration, its pure fruit is seamless throughout, and it has a fresh spine of acidity. Offering a lovely balance of fruit and freshness, with ripe tannins and a rocky texture, it should be drunk 2024-2034.

Very floral with hints of rose stems and hibiscus to the fresh ripe strawberry and citrus character. Medium to full body. Dried peach and orange peel flavors. Very long and intense. Lively at the end with lovely purity of fruit. Drink or hold.
