    From California in the immensely popular wine region of Napa Valley comes the 2019 Emblem Cabernet Sauvignon, a wine made for any occasion with a delicate and accommodating palette. This Cabernet Sauvignon was made with 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot, and 7% Petite Sirah grapes, all handpicked from vineyards dotted along the eastern hillsides of Napa Valley. The grapes were grown in a manner that was both sustainable and Napa Valley Green and Fish Friendly certified in order to respect the generational commitment to responsible farming.

    This Cabernet was crafted by the well-regarded winemaker, Rob Mondavi Jr. who is known for producing flavorful and expressive wines. The 2019 vintage benefited from copious rain at the start of the season, albeit with a sporadic finish. However, the long, warm summer weather was ideal for producing vibrant wines with bright acidity and ample texture. The color of this Cabernet is brilliant ruby with hints of purple at the core.

    The aromas are of pine needles, fresh plums, blackberries, currants, and herbs while the flavors evoke cassis, huckleberry, plum, and coffee bean with a touch of toasty oak. The palate is full-bodied, with firm and fine tannins ‘” the perfect balance of structure and finesse. James Suckling gave this wine a rating of 90 points, praising its mineral finish ‘” a testament to the quality of the terroir within the region. This Cabernet Sauvignon will drink beautifully upon release or can cellar for another 5 to 10 years.
