Haley Wight

Haley Wight is a 6th generation winemaker and viticulturist from Napa Valley who holds a degree in earth science. Her background in earth science serves her well when it comes to producing amazing wines — wines that convey the character of the land’s terroir. With years of hard work, Haley has developed a wealth of knowledge when it comes to winemaking that she has learned from her father, Doug, who is known as a renowned vineyard manager.

In her role as winemaker for Lewelling Vineyards, Haley works closely with her father. She frequently visits the vineyard, giving advice on how she wants the vines to be managed and maintained in order to get the best fruit for her wines. Cabernet Sauvignon is the varietal that is grown and produced at Lewelling. In addition to her work with Lewelling, Haley also runs her own brand, Hayfork, where she produces Cabernet Sauvignon.

Before beginning her career as a winemaker, Haley worked as a Park Ranger in Washington, which is how she met her husband, Erik. They are now parents to two children, Tilly and Oly, and in her “spare” time, Haley loves to trail run, snow ski, and hike.

When she isn’t diligently working to make an exceptional bottle of wine, she enjoys spending time with her family and exploring her passions for outdoors activities, such as trail running, snow skiing, and hiking.
