Ruby red color with fresh fruit aromas of cherry, cassis, and violet notes. Lush acidity, firm tannins and a long finish. It can be consumed now but will age beautifully for several years.

    1. Patricia Mears

Malbec with aromas of oak & black fruit. Flavours are concentrated with good balance of alcohol & acidity. Velvety tannins & well-integrated oak treatment with long finish. Enjoyable now with potential for ageing.

    2. Katherine Nash

Dark, full-bodied wine with juicy blueberry and plum notes, vanilla oak and spice. Drinking well now.

    3. Marvin Hughes

Deep ruby red with a maturing rim. Nose shows a leafy, earthy, tobacco blackcurrant fruit complexity. Mature red with grainy tannins left. Past best, drink up. Good with ossi bucco.

    4. David Camacho

      Same as before.

    5. Patrica Wilson

Dark fruit Malbec, acidic start, complete and tannic.

    6. Kristy Webb

Great Malbec, fruity and smooth. Perfect with venison.

    7. Linda Hammond

Malbec is average with cherry and strawberry notes, tight tannins, but a weak structure and light body for the varietal.

    8. Francisco Gosselin

Good value Malbec with dark fruit and spice notes.

    9. William Hutzler

Dark and structured with fruit tannin and some oak tannin. Muted flavors and limited aromatics.

    10. Dennis Williams

Decant this full-bodied wine for its strong tannins and balanced fruit.

    11. Christopher Krohn

Juicy and vibrant wine with notes of cherry slushie and black pepper. Smooth and silky with a long-lasting finish.

    12. Beau Mason

Deep purple ruby color with notes of blackberries and plum. Lightly acidic and pairs well with red meats. Very good finish.

    13. Charles Thomas

Smooth and round with black fruit flavors, followed by smoke and coffee notes. Perfect with BBQ ribs and top sirloin.

    14. Warren Schneider

Quality wine with rich bouquet of dark fruits, vanilla, meat and spice. Medium-full bodied with flavors of blueberries, plum, blackberries, black cherries, vanilla cream, oak, black pepper and vegetal herbs. Balanced and plush, pairs well with mesquite ribeye steak. Honest to goodness quality despite low price.

    15. Alice Cain

Great value Malbec that hits all the right notes.

    16. Beata Carr

Nice wine with coffee, floral, blueberries, boysenberries, and black licorice. Complex with medium finish.

    17. Sylvia Atkins

Initial taste was shy with less fruit, but improved significantly after an hour. Chocolatey, dark fruits with a clean finish. Perfect with dinner and watching the game. Medium to full bodied with cellaring potential.

    18. Shane Bohanan

Simple and bland. Ripe black and blue fruits with oak on the nose and palate, medium-short finish.

    19. Tammy Straight

Solid wine with plum and black fruit notes, round body, and soft tannins. Highly versatile.

    20. Robert Mccrudden

Intense aromas of black fruits, prunes, blackberries, figs, and toasted oak with vanilla. A dry wine with high alcohol and tannins, perfect to drink now or cellar.

    21. Nina Stephenson

WS 90. Balanced fruit, tannins & acidity. Smooth, long finish. <$20 qpr. disappointing with steak but would buy again.

    22. Todd Coco

Malbec lacks structure and has bitterness. Better New World Malbecs available at a great value. JGM dislikes it.

    23. Sharon Marble

Ruby color with dark fruit and mocha aroma. Palate of blackberry and spice, with moderate acidity and tannins. Spice, tobacco, and vanilla finish.

    24. Bobby Murray

Decanting for 30 minutes elevates this $19 wine to a $28 value. Blue fruit, smoke, and herb aromas. Flavors of blueberry, vanilla, licorice, and cedar. Long finish with blueberry, subtle acidity, and licorice.

    25. Loraine Ward

Classic Malbec: smooth, slight tannins, terroir on the palate. Very good.

    26. Billy Romon

“Best wine in price range. Bought several cases after first bottle.”

    27. Kristy Morris

“I loved it so much, I bought two more cases. Can’t risk running out. Zuccardi has an incredible restaurant, can’t wait to visit again soon.”

    28. Clarence Williams

      Great value wine!

    29. Kenneth Henderson

Malbec with high altitude vineyards at 3,600′ and 3,900′. Silky texture, juicy red and black fruit, earthiness, and chalky tannins. Great value for weekday wine.

    30. George Richardson

Fruit-driven palate with red and dark berries, hints of coffee and red liquorice. Prominent tannins on the finish.

    31. Frank Wilson

Stunning complexity of fruit and earth in an awesome table wine, especially for the price.

    32. David Griffin

Palate: Blackberry, plum, black pepper, light tannins, oaky notes. Nose: Slight rubber notes. Aging potential.

    33. Timmy Haage

Decant for an hour, enjoy a great wine. Nice acidity, fruity with herbal components. Fun!

    34. Susan Cabrera

Malbec from high altitude Andes vineyards. Medium purple. Black cherry, blackberry, dark chocolate, clay pot, and baking spice. Simple, young, round. Medium-full bodied, velvety texture, succulent dark fruit on the palate. Sweet, plush tannins. Potential, but may lack complexity.

    35. Cherie Vroman

Deep ruby wine with plum, blueberry, cherry, light toast and black pepper aroma. Subtle and fresh flavor with plum, black currant, chocolate, medium body, smooth velvety texture, and medium to long finish. Age-worthy. Nice.

    36. Richard Mancuso

One of my favorite table wines!

    37. Betty Campos

Medium-bodied with ripe blackberry and smoky mineral notes, accented with violet florals and balanced acidity. Finishes with satisfying smoky and chalky notes.

    38. Christopher Totaro

Great Malbec with floral and dark fruit notes, firm tannins, and a hint of acidity. Perfect for lamb or beef. A steal at $20.

    39. Michael Gould

Solid Malbec with black cherry, plum, and blackberry notes, baking spice, medium tannins, and acids.

    40. Karen Stein

Pair this wine with meats for a great meal.

    41. Gordon Reyes

Smooth and delicious wine, perfect pairing with food.

    42. Gary Mcsweeney

Black raspberry, currant, and cocoa on the nose. Palate is full of ripe tannins, black and red fruit, and cocoa. Long, dry finish. Great QPR. Perfect with pork tenderloin and mushrooms.

    43. Patrick Lafreniere

      “My favorite table wine!”

    44. Ashley Lee

Visual: Purplish ruby with brownish tinges, opaque and medium intensity. Smell: Moderately intense with red fruit aromas of cherry and blackberry. Taste: Dry, high acidic, velvety tannins, and medium-bodied with a long finish.

    45. Hung Wright

Great balance, full-bodied Malbec with fruity notes of vanilla and cocoa, a touch of oak, and a long finish. Excellent value at $24.

    46. Estella Anderson

      Firm with cranberry notes.

    47. Ramon Weatherly

Full-bodied wine with oak aroma, heavy palate, and long finish. Licorice and dark fruit notes emerge on day two with added zing. 7.5/10.

    48. Victor Boettcher

Core of blue fruit with a pepper and vanilla finish and green tannins.

    49. Nellie Nguyen

Zuccardi Q Malbec 2019: Intense, bright, spicy nose. Chewy, medium+ bodied palate with lovely spicy flavors. Nicely balanced, juicy, spicy, and savoury finish.

    50. Dorothy Garcia

Great wine at half-price ($35) from Fogo de Chau. Smooth and fruit-forward with hints of plum and blackberry.

    51. Ralph Young

A classic Malbec with black plums, earthy spices, and savoury BBQ meats. Good minerality and herbaceous notes on the rich palate. Cellar for 3-5 years for greater depth. 92-94 pts.

    52. Samantha Englert

      Adequate yet uninspiring.

    53. Corinne Tran

Notes of chocolate with a smooth finish, but too bitter for some.

    54. Mary Choe

Not great alone, but perfect with chili.

    55. Alan Busby

Notes of dark berries and stony minerals.

    56. Jermaine Ferguson

“An average wine worth trying – 3 stars.”

    57. Stephen Crutcher

Review: Ripe blueberries, cherries, hibiscus, thyme, tobacco, fennel. Baked fruit on palate. Medium body, soft tannin, medium acid. Call – Gigondas.

    58. Christopher Fiedler

Flavors of dark fruit and spice.

    59. William Gambill

Great with grilled pork chops, medium smoky finish, nice fruit.

    60. Annie Tow

Intense stony nose with dark berry and plum flavors, supported by fresh acidity and refined tannins. Lingers on the crisp finish.

    61. Geneva Moret

Interesting wine with mint and earth notes on the nose, medium/full-bodied with delicious dark fruit flavors, medium acidity, soft tannins, and a long finish. Worth aging, will buy more to find out.

    62. Robert Oneil

Bright purple with sour cherry and solid body. Lively light Malbec, great value for summer sipping.

    63. Katherine Roberson

Great Malbec with intense nose of plums, blackberry purée, and purple flowers. Good acid uplifts the fruit with subtle baking spice and rocky earth finish. Perfect for drinking now or cellaring for a few years.

    64. Andrew Rabello

Smooth with blackberry notes and a strong fruit-forward taste. Well balanced, low alcohol and great value for money.

    65. Nathaniel Schoenfeld

Silky tannins, light footed with a vanillin nose. Enjoyable, but could use more structure. 14.5% ABV.

    66. Lillian Aubert

Balanced and robust Malbec, with blackberry and plum aromas, medium tannins, and flavors of blueberry, black cherry, and chocolate. Lengthy finish.

    67. Ervin White

Smooth with full body, dark fruit and cherry notes. Low acid and tannins. Short finish. Will try younger vintages.

    68. Felicita Ryder

Dry malbec with notes of blue fruit.

    69. Ruth Shields

Past prime, but good. Cherry and chocolate notes lost structure.

    70. Corey Conley

Great red table wine with Latin spices and meat. Balanced concrete and oak, dark blue fruit with acidity and minerality. Beautiful Malbecs surpassing most wineries.

    71. Gary Milburn

Still fairly dark and youngish looking purple. Quite young still on the nose with juicy purple fruits, blue plum, spice and slightly toasted oak aromas. Medium-full bodied, off dry, good extract and a moderate finish. Still crunchy purple fruit on the palate, no tannins, good acidity soft and dry finish. Similar flavour profile as on the nose. Decent and pleasant, but nothing overly special.

    72. Joshua Rees

      Low tannins, earthy, acidic.

    73. Sandra Guerrero

Good choice for a midweek wine.

    74. Robert Meyer

Complex yet affordable. Dark fruit, black plum, red flowers, and dried herbs with mild chalky tannins. Big juicy finish.

    75. Douglas Hill

Tight nose and palate, needs an hour in glass. Juicy black fruits, cassis, violet, toasted earthy spices, and overwhelming oak. Full-bodied and edgy. Aging will result in better balance. Tight and chewy finish.

The impressive 2019 Q Cabernet Franc was produced with grapes from Altamira and San Pablo, from the same vineyard used for Polígonos. It’s varietal and elegant with the freshness from the year and the places, as the grape seems to be quite transparent for the conditions of the vineyards. It’s spicy, peppery, floral and herbal, with fine chalky tannins. It’s very impressive in this price range. This matured in 500-liter barrels and 2,500-liter oak vats. I find that the Malbec and this Cabernet Franc are the foundation of the Q range. 30,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2020. Drink: 2021-2025.

    77. JS

Very attractive blueberry and black-cherry aromas with some tarragon undertones. It’s full-bodied with chewy tannins that show layers and polish. Needs more time to come together. Try after 2023, but very attractive now.

    78. VIN

A Cabernet Franc from the Uco Valley, 100% aged in foudres and barrels. Herbal and mentholated on the nose, offering notes of cigar ash and sweet and sour cherry. In the mouth, crisp with firm tannins and plenty of freshness that results in a juicy feel, keeping the volume in check. Fluid but constrained; an interesting wine.
