Rombauer Merlot Napa Valley 2021 is a testament to the winery’s dedication to crafting exceptional Merlot since its first vintage in 1983. Nestled in the heart of the Napa Valley, Rombauer Vineyards has perfected the art of producing Merlot that reflects the unique characteristics of the region, particularly the Napa side of Carneros. This area, known for its clay soils akin to Bordeaux’s right bank, coupled with a cool climate, provides the ideal conditions for growing Merlot grapes that retain their natural acidity while gradually developing rich flavors and tannins.
The 2021 vintage was harvested between September 22nd and October 9th, under optimal conditions. The winery’s commitment to sustainable farming practices, tailored to each vineyard block with the help of advanced NDVI technology, ensured the grapes reached perfect ripeness.
