Richard Bray –
Casa Bianca: Floral and mineral notes, light and fresh with a good citrus finish.
Anne Knight –
Soft, subtle, and characterful red with notes of pencil, leather, musky wood, and cassis.
Salvador Cornelius –
Impressive white wine from Argiolas. Fruity and minerally aroma, soft and creamy texture with a crisp finish. Great alone or with food.
Jesse Camacho –
Pale yellow wine with lime and citrus notes, nice texture, slightly creamy with flavors of hay, straw, and citrus. Aged in 100% stainless but goes through some malo.
Kay Ito –
Spar Nord’s Aprilsmagning Vinstyrke 12 is a beautifully balanced, golden wine with a full, slightly sweet aroma and taste.
Robin Baxter –
Crisp and fresh white with good fruit, minerality and a salty edge. Medium bodied with citrus and peach flavors. High alcohol (14%).
Emily Fenton –
Olivo Mare: Enticing, floral, mineral, fresh, and balanced.
Joseph Frazee –
Delicious wine, enjoyed at a party.
Lenore King –
Fruity and mineral with a slightly bitter finish. Pairs well with food. Very good.
Shane Williams –
Farpointe Cellar’s Staff Favorites offers a nose of citrus and beeswax, with a slightly sweet palate of pear and lemon flavors mixed with wax. The mid-palate has floral notes and the finish is mineral.
Bobby Baker –
Refreshing, crisp and mineral with a hint of sweetness – perfect wine at Cosmopolitan Hotel, Las Vegas.
Kay Currie –
Full-bodied with minerality and saline notes on the nose. Fermented in stainless steel with lees contact. Unsure if chemically dry. Priced around $29.
Paula Doughtry –
Dense and structured, with noticeable wood masking the melon and herbs.
Eileen Lyle –
Bitter apple, citrus fruits, and white flowers on the nose. Smooth and dry on the palate with zesty acidity.
Kathy Jones –
Full-bodied Vermentino with a waxy texture and a medium acidity level. Peach blossom, white peach, honeysuckle and a Strega-like note create a fresh and bitter taste. Not suitable for long-term storage.
Brock Moore –
Golden wine with hints of pineapple, citrus and straw. Enjoyable.
Graham Carpenter –
Decanter Italy Tasting (London): Good body but lacks excitement. Firm with biting acidity, simple fruit, and a touch of bitterness.
Theresa Correy –
Orso: Nutty, zingy, ripe. Rather good.
Johnsie Turman –
Pale yellow in the glass. The nose was full of lemons with herbal notes and asparagus characteristics. Light bodied with more herbal tones on the palate and zippy acidity. The finish was quite short and bitter.
Eric Cota –
Hints of lemon rind and nutty texture, but overwhelmed by creamy oak. Not undrinkable, but reminiscent of old faded photograph.
Tim Anderson –
Balanced and refreshing with bright fruit, notes of graphite, lemon, and slate.
Sandra Westley –
Overpowering sweetness with no acidity. Not recommended. Rated -1 out of 3.
Marcus Bill –
Golden and rich with residual sugar and notes of ripe apples, pears, and honey. Unexpectedly rich for a vermentino, though lacking in acid.
Dakota Hiott –
Average wine with off-dry feel, light waxiness, and unbalanced richness. Rated 80-85.
Stephanie Sicilian –
Clean and precise Vermentino with mature, spicy, rich, and intense flavors. A technically sound wine that is really good.
Penny Franks –
Delightful Vermentino.
Jose Davis –
“Superior to Argiolas Vermentino di Sardegna Costamolino. Weighty and chiseled with minerality. Perfect for Mediterranean food. Best to age for a couple of years.”
William Callahan –
Medium intensity yellow color. Notes of white fruits, white and yellow flowers, peach, banana, apricot, and secondary lemon. Best paired with soft and semi-hard cheeses and fish. Great with burrata and buffalo mozzarella. A well-made white wine.
Catherine Bradford –
2014 vintage: Crisp, pear and citrus flavors, delicate.
Dan Anderson –
Approachable, medium-bodied wine with orange blossom, stone fruit, and citrus flavors. Medium-long finish of candied fruit, drinking well now, not suitable for further aging.
Jorge Neubauer –
Fruity with pineapple, banana, pine resin and peach pit aromas. Dry with cereal and bitter almond flavors, no oak. Very good.
Alexander Dicarlo –
Italian Wine Scholar at Texas Wine School: Clean, ripe stone fruit, tropical fruit, almonds & honey nose. Dry, high alcohol, no oak, creamy, full-bodied with a slightly bitter and salty finish. Perfect for fans of oak-free New World Chardonnay.
Debra Wollenburg –
Argiolas’ 2015 Vermentino is superior to the previous vintage. Golden yellow with almond and ripe peach flavors. Enjoyable, but slightly dull compared to Tuvaoes.
Lois Liles –
Delicious vermentino with almond and ripe peach notes. Golden yellow and oily.
Jack Smith –
Good vermentino, but wait until next year.
Timothy Neighbors –
Pale yellow with apricot nose and balanced acidity. Crisp apple taste with medium acidity. Great for summer sipping.
Ann Dobbs –
Purchase again.
Brenda Sanchez –
Well executed Vermentino with white flower and almond notes. Stunning QPR. White wine season begins.
Anne Tompkins –
Intense, full-bodied, and mineral-rich. Great with food. Solid 90p.
Juan Pargo –
Floral nose with pineapple and honeydew, followed by a medium-bodied, balanced taste of pineapple, peach, apple, and honey. Good acidity and concentration. Very good at 90+.
James Lawerence –
Dry Sardinian Vermentino with apple nose, tangy palate, crisp acidity, and sweet stonefruit finish.
Robert Mcnease –
Intensely aromatic with notes of peaches, apricots, and lemon zest; full-bodied with a deep golden color. Sweet and flavorsome on the palate with a long finish. Despite the 14.5% alcohol, it’s easy to drink. Wonderful!
Alexis Cooper –
Buy again.
Denise Felderman –
Short Review: Nose has yellow flower aromas but the overwhelming bitter vegetal taste ruins the experience. Not worth the price.
Elizabeth Case –
Vermentino has a rich lemon color, with hints of acacia flowers, toasted almonds, and honey. The texture is oily, with a high acidity and a slightly effervescent quality. The palate includes white peach and lychee flavors, as well as vanilla and tart lime, with a moderately long almond finish. It’s a nice everyday wine, but not the most impressive.
Ariel Steinberger –
Unsatisfactory.
Annette Smith –
“Surprisingly full-bodied with balanced fruit flavors. A pleasant surprise.”
Mary Limmel –
Subtle nose with notes of honey and peach. On the palate, a wow factor with a melon, honey, and peach explosion. Creamy texture with a clear acidity and a mineral finish reminiscent of almonds.
Lillian Villareal –
Great Sardinian Vermentino. Salty minerality and exuberant on the nose and palate. Highly recommended.
Kimberly Bluma –
Aromatic notes of peach, citrus, and floral with grassy and mineral undertones. Full-bodied and warm with a bitter finish. Overall, a good wine.
Elsie Reis –
Italian Wine Scholar at Texas Wine School: Med(+) straw with ripe stone fruit, pineapple, guava, mint & honey aromas. Dry, rich, creamy with extended lees aging. Full-bodied with a long, slightly bitter, and salty finish. Not for aging but fine for years. Appeals to lightly oaked New World Chardonnay fans.
Sharon Paden –
Pale yellow robe. Peach, elderflower, and lemon zest aroma. Heavy, full-bodied with reineclaude. Saline aftertaste. Very good.
Gladys Wilder –
First bottle corked, hoping the next is better.
Jonathan Winn –
Nice white flowers on the nose and palate. Good Italian white at $15.
Jane Parker –
Lemon, pear, apple, saline, sharp acid, luscious body.
Georgia Hill –
Tropical fruit and flower aroma, salty taste, good body, and nice acid.
Judith Koth –
Aging didn’t work as expected – thicker and sweeter than anticipated. Final bottle of ’19.
Marie Ha –
Exciting and aromatic vermentino with flavors of cantaloupe, coriander seed, and mint. Perfect for pairing with melon and mint salad.
Pearlie Wall –
Balanced and good. Honey, orange, cantaloupe, herbs. Mineral finish.
Sharron Remus –
Great for seafood pairing, simple yet delicious.
Corrie Brown –
Distinctive and complex, this wine offers a unique blend of grapefruit, lime zest, herbs, and flowers. Unmatched by any other varietal.
Tarsha Milligan –
Great for Vongole.
Dennis Sanders –
Wine spoiled.
Leigh Vito –
Citrusy aroma, mineral lime flavors with a hint of grass. Refreshingly good.
