Tablas Creek Vineyard, a collaborative venture between two esteemed wine families, the Perrins of Chateau de Beaucastel and the Haas family of Vineyard Brands, embodies the essence of exceptional winemaking. Located in the Adelaida District, just twelve miles from the Pacific Ocean, this picturesque estate in the Paso Robles region of California opened its doors in 1997.

The vineyards at Tablas Creek boast a unique setting, perched at an elevation of 1,500 feet. The soil, characterized by shallow, rocky limestone, mirrors the terroir of Château de Beaucastel, its French counterpart. The Mediterranean climate, with hot sunny days and cool nights influenced by the nearby Pacific, is ideal for grape maturation while preserving acidity. Sufficient winter rainfall allows for dry farming in most of the vineyard.

Tablas Creek Vineyard is dedicated to sustainable and organic farming practices, nurturing the grapes with utmost care. The estate specializes in crafting wines that stay true to the Rhône Valley tradition, with an emphasis on blending various grape varieties for complexity and balance.

Red wines, such as Mourvedre, Grenache Noir, Syrah, and Counoise, dominate production, while white wines shine with Roussanne, Viognier, Marsanne, and Grenache Blanc. Two delightful rosés, based on Grenache and Mourvedre, add to their diverse portfolio. The winery’s commitment to time-honored winemaking techniques, including native yeast fermentation and aging in large French oak foudres, ensures that each vintage reflects the authenticity of the grapes and the region.

Tablas Creek Vineyard consistently produces between 25,000 to 30,000 cases of wine annually.
