Abeja Description
Abeja, meaning bee in Spanish (‘ah-BAY-ha’), is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Mountains, four miles east of Walla Walla, Washington. Opening its doors in the late 1990s, Abeja’s founders, Ken and Ginger Harrison, stumbled upon an idyllic historic farmstead while scouting for the perfect vineyard location. This 38-acre site now houses the celebrated Abeja winery and The Inn at Abeja, offering guests a unique wine country experience. Here, winemakers Daniel Wampfler and Amy Alvarez-Wampfler meticulously craft Abeja’s acclaimed Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Merlot, alongside limited-release estate and reserve wines exclusively available to Abeja List members. Abeja, deeply committed to sustainability, operates on the principle that every small gesture makes a meaningful impact. This ethos extends to their meticulous farming practices and warm hospitality at The Inn, fostering an environment where history meets modern comforts in the heart of Walla Walla Valley.
