Elegance and complexity define the Whitehall Lane Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2020. Crafted by winemaker Jason Moulton, with the guidance of consulting winemaker Philippe Melka, this wine exemplifies the pinnacle of Napa Valley Cabernet craftsmanship.

In the glass, this Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits a deep, enchanting ruby hue that hints at the richness within. On the nose, it unveils a symphony of aromas, including notes of blackberry pie, dried Mission figs, and enticing baking spices. As you explore further, you’ll discover the essence of blackberry coulis and a subtle whisper of cigar box, inviting you into a world of complexity.

The palate is a marvel of balance, with smooth and velvety tannins caressing the senses. The wine dances with flavors of chocolate-covered cherries, red currants, and the irresistible essence of huckleberry pie. Toasted walnuts add a layer of nuttiness, while vanillin and hints of hibiscus tea provide an exquisite finish that lingers, leaving you wanting more.

This offering is a delight for the here and now but possesses the grace to evolve gracefully with cellar aging, promising enchanting experiences through 2038.

Hand-harvested in the early morning hours, the grapes underwent a whole-berry fermentation, unlocking profound color, aroma, and flavor extraction. Fermented at 82°F, this process allowed for a rich extraction from the skins. The resulting wine was aged in a blend of 50% new French oak and 50% neutral oak for 18 months, creating a harmonious union of oak and fruit. The 100% Cabernet Sauvignon blend was bottled unfined and unfiltered, ensuring that each sip preserves the true essence of the Napa Valley.

The Whitehall Lane Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 has garnered well-deserved critical acclaims, attesting to its exceptional quality and craftsmanship. Wine Spectator applauds this wine with a notable 92-point rating, while Wine Enthusiast bestows an impressive 94 points, highlighting its silky and fine-grained tannins and the harmonious blend of black cherries, blackberries, and blueberries. Decanter, with a rating of 90 points, appreciates its depth and elegance, and James Suckling’s score of 91 points celebrates the captivating aromas of cassis, plum, and wet gravel, as well as its vibrant and succulent red and purple berry flavors, complemented by sweet spices and a lingering, memorable finish. These accolades from respected wine critics underscore the remarkable character and allure of this Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
