This massive wine is packed with towering, velvety, concentrated dark blue and black fruit mixed with notes of charred steak and roasted oak that lead to a satisfyingly rich and dense palate. With its excellent potential to age, the Schrader LPV program continues to build on its own success with the 2019 release being the finest release to date.

2 reviews for Schrader ‘LPV’ Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard 2019

    1. WA

Schrader’s LPV comes from Beckstoffer’s Las Piedras vineyard, produced from 337 clone grown on the C block. Deep purple-black colored, this barrel sample of the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard LPV rolls out of the glass with energetic notes of wild blueberries, black raspberries and chocolate-covered cherries, plus touches of licorice, camphor and crushed rocks. The full-bodied palate is rich, densely laden and framed by firm, grainy tannins with seamless freshness and an earthy finish.

    2. JD

Lots of lifted red and blue fruits, violets, bay leaf, and bouquet garni notes emerge from the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard LPV, a concentrated yet elegant 2019 that builds nicely with time in the glass. Coming from a Grand Cru site outside of St. Helena, it shows the classic Schrader richness and depth yet is just as much about elegance and finesse.
