Crafted by Winemaker Ben Casteel, Bethel Heights presents the exquisite Aeolian Pinot Noir 2022, a true embodiment of the Eola-Amity Hills AVA’s character. Named after the defining winds of the region, this wine showcases the perfect balance between purity and power.

The color is vibrant ruby-red hue with a brilliant clarity, hinting at the wine’s youthful vibrancy.

The nose is a delightful medley of red cherry, rhubarb, and raspberry, offering an enticing bouquet that captivates from the first swirl. Subtle floral notes and a touch of earthiness add complexity to the aromatic profile.

On the palate, the Æolian Pinot Noir 2022 exhibits remarkable tension and precision. Bright red fruit flavors of cherry and raspberry take center stage, accented by hints of cranberry and a touch of spice. The wine’s fine-grain tannins lend structure and elegance, allowing the fruit to shine through. As it evolves in the glass, a touch of minerality emerges, adding depth and a sense of place to the wine.

This Pinot Noir is a testament to Bethel Heights’ commitment to expressing the unique terroir of the Eola-Amity Hills. Its purity and finesse make it a standout example of Oregon’s winemaking prowess.

Bethel Heights Aeolian Pinot Noir 2022 is a wine that beautifully captures the essence of the region, making it a must-try for Pinot Noir enthusiasts and those seeking a taste of Oregon’s finest.

This esteemed winery began its journey in 1977, when a group of visionaries including Ted Casteel, Pat Dudley, Terry Casteel, Marilyn Webb, and Barbara Dudley, ventured into the wine industry. They left their academic careers to pursue their shared passion for winemaking. The chosen site for their venture was a 75-acre land, which was then known as Bethel Heights Walnut Groves, offering an ideal setting for their ambitious project. The team at Bethel Heights Winery embarked on their viticultural journey in 1979 by planting the first vines. This marked the beginning of a venture that would soon establish Bethel Heights as a...check our brand Bethel Heights

However, fate took a different turn during the 1999 harvest at Domaine de Perdrix in Burgundy, where Ben had an eye-opening experience. Upon returning from France, Ben decided to explore the world of winemaking before pursuing his academic ambitions. He joined Rex Hill as a cellar assistant and gradually worked his way up to become Assistant Winemaker under Aaron Hess. In 2005, after a conversation with his father about the future of Bethel Heights, Ben assumed the role of Winemaker.
