Patrick Jackson, a Fresno State alumnus, epitomizes the fusion of education and passion in the world of winemaking. Armed with a dual major in Viticulture and Enology, complemented by a Minor in Chemistry, Patrick’s journey began at the very roots of wine production.

His collegiate tenure saw him not just as a student but also as a leader, serving as the Vice President of the Enology Society. Simultaneously, he delved into hands-on research, assuming the role of Senior Research Assistant and Winemaker for the Grape Rot project, showcasing his commitment to the craft.

Post-graduation, Patrick’s talent took him to Joullian Vineyards in Carmel Valley, where he honed his skills as an Assistant Winemaker, with a special focus on sustainability. His dedication didn’t stop there; he transitioned to Morgan Winery, a bastion of organic certification. Here, he sculpted exquisite wines like Pinot, Chardonnay, and Syrah, using grapes sourced from the prestigious vineyards of Monterey County’s American Viticultural Area.

But Patrick’s story doesn’t end with his work at established wineries. In 2019, he embarked on a personal winemaking adventure by founding Trixon Wine Co. This venture, marked by innovation and quality, has already begun to carve its own niche in the industry.

Patrick’s commitment to continuous learning is evident in his academic pursuits. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Business with a focus on Food Entrepreneurship from Santa Clara University in 2021, demonstrating his determination to evolve in the ever-changing world of wine.

Beyond the vineyards and classrooms, Patrick cherishes life’s simple pleasures. He finds solace and inspiration by the ocean, indulging in his passion for surfing and outrigger canoe paddling. His dedication to family is equally strong, as he treasures moments spent with his wife, daughter, and their four beloved pets.
