Megan Gunderson

Megan Gunderson, Vice President of Winemaking, embarked on her vinicultural journey in 2001, transplanting herself from Colorado to the esteemed Napa Valley. Commencing as an intern at Robert Mondavi Winery, she unearthed a fervor for wine and viticulture. Her trajectory led her to pivotal roles as Laboratory Manager at St. Supery Vineyards and Dominus Estates in Rutherford and Oakville, respectively. At Dominus, under the tutelage of Christian Moueix and Jean-Claude Barrouet, she refined her craft with distinctive techniques.

Joining HALL Wines in 2005 as an Enologist, Megan’s ascent was meteoric, culminating in her 2018 promotion to Vice President of Winemaking. Responsible for the wine programs of the family-owned luxury triumvirate—HALL, WALT, and BACA Wines—her multidisciplinary expertise, including degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics, affords her a rare scientific insight into winemaking.
