Jim Adelman

Known simply as “Adelman” to avoid confusion with another Jim, Jim Adelman has been the driving force and hands-on winemaker overseeing all facets of wine production at ABC winery since the early ’90s. While the charismatic Clendenen was out championing ABC wines and the cool climate Central Coast wine movement, Adelman remained a steady and skilled presence, bringing Clendenen’s vision to life.

Without a doubt, Adelman deserves credit for the sustained enhancement and unwavering quality of ABC’s wines. His dedication to the craft and meticulous approach have propelled ABC’s wines to new heights. As ABC moves forward, Adelman will continue to elevate the company’s wines while leading with his expertise.

Beyond the vineyard, Adelman cherishes his loving family and is now indulging in the art of fishing—a newfound passion that allows him to relax in the serenity of a boat. Jim Adelman, a winemaker with a rich legacy and a zest for life both in and out of the vineyard.
