Eric Sussman Description
Eric Sussman, hailing from New York State, cultivated his passion for viticulture during his agricultural studies at Cornell University. His journey led him to immersive experiences in the old-world winemaking traditions of France, including influential stints at renowned estates like Baron Philippe de Rothschild in Pauillac and Domaine Comte Armand in Pommard. This formative period solidified his profound reverence for the intimate relationship between land, people, and the art of winemaking. Upon returning to the United States, Sussman honed his craft at esteemed wineries, including Dehlinger, before founding Radio-Coteau in 2002. Emphasizing the natural expression of Sonoma County’s diverse terroirs, Sussman’s winemaking philosophy seamlessly merges Old World finesse with New World grape varietals. With a commitment to biodynamic practices and a delicate human touch, Sussman’s Radio-Coteau continues to craft exquisite wines that epitomize the essence of their origins.
