Recognizing the pivotal role of the vineyards, Bill Dyer spearheaded the creation of Sterling’s single-vineyard wines, with a particular gem emerging from Diamond Mountain. Venturing beyond the borders of Napa Valley, Bill Dyer’s influence extended to Canadian terroir, where Church & State Winery and Burrowing Owl Vineyards in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley thrived under his guidance. In a notable partnership in 2005, Bill and Dawnine Dyer joined forces with Meteor Vineyard owners, Barry and Tracy Schuler, to craft Cabernet from their esteemed vineyard. Both Meteor Vineyard and Dyer Vineyard became canvases for Dyer’s artistry, showcasing singular expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon rooted in the finest areas of Napa Valley.
