Robust on entry with notes of ripe plum and dark chocolate, the mid-palate conjures a tantalizing earthiness, a pluot reduction, a bouquet garni, all framed by a band of acidity and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Energetic through the finish, the wine closes with dusty, velvety tannins, licorice and a lingering orange peel.
