Wine Description
Fait-Main Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2021 is a true testament to Benoit Touquette’s artistry as a winemaker. With only 500 cases produced, this wine embodies his personal interpretation of the Napa Valley, capturing its essence from the valley floor to the heights of the hillsides.
Napa Valley, the pioneering AVA in California, boasts an illustrious reputation, and its diverse terroir is showcased in this exquisite Cabernet Sauvignon. The region’s thirty-mile stretch is cradled between the Mayacamas and Vaca mountain ranges, offering a rich tapestry of soils, aspects, and microclimates. From deep loamy soils on the valley floor to rocky slopes and volcanic tufa, the wide range of elevations and exposures generates countless unique growing conditions.
Fait-Main’s Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a harmonious blend of fruit sourced from their esteemed single-vineyard sites, along with select vineyards that may eventually develop into standalone expressions. It beautifully celebrates the multifaceted charisma of Napa Valley, showcasing its grandeur on a larger scale.
The 2021 vintage in Napa Valley yielded small but intensely flavored crops. This resulted in exceptionally fresh and structured wines, with graceful aromatics and a prevalence of red and blue fruit. The wines already display remarkable elegance and refinement, promising to impress for years to come.
Pouring a deep ruby color in the glass, Fait-Main’s Cabernet Sauvignon entices with a luscious nose of ripe strawberries, blackberries, and indulgent chocolate notes. On the palate, it unfolds with silky ripeness and remarkable density. The full-bodied profile is supported by velvety tannins, creating a luxurious mouthfeel. As the wine lingers, the long and fruit-filled finish blossoms, leaving a lasting impression.
Fait-Main Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2021 is an unapologetically juicy and hedonistic wine that pays homage to the diverse terroir of the region. With its rich fruit profile, velvety texture, and impeccable balance, this wine is a true gem, showcasing the craftsmanship of Benoit Touquette and the undeniable allure of Napa Valley. Savor it now or cellar it for further development, as it promises to evolve gracefully over time.

Dale Rushford –
Dark red and black notes on the nose with hints of raspberry, cranberry, and floral scents. Slightly tart blackberry, soil and graphite with a hint of pepper. Takes a couple of hours to open, improving each day. Nice QPR and keen to see how it ages.
Jacob Harvey –
Rich fruit nose, inviting yet bold first taste. Tannins in check with black coffee and spice finish. Tasty and worth the bucks. 95pts.
Jan Perkins –
Juicy wine with raspberry, blackberry, chocolate & tobacco flavors. 2-hour decant recommended. 2021’s first bottle, hoping for more. Better than Benoit’s Teeter-Totter. Good value for the price.
