Black Stallion Estate Winery, rooted in the heart of Napa Valley, embodies a rich history of winemaking and a commitment to excellence. Established over a century ago by Gaspare and Caterina Indelicato, Italian immigrants hailing from Sicily, the winery’s legacy commenced when Gaspare planted his first vineyard in Manteca, California. His unwavering values of family, hard work, and integrity laid the foundation for generations of vintners.

Positioned at the southern end of the Silverado Trail, Black Stallion Estate Winery emerged as the site of the Silverado Western Center, welcoming visitors in September 1963. The winery now occupies the original riding area, where grapes have taken the place of horses, while maintaining a rich heritage.

The vineyards follow sustainable farming practices, ensuring that each lot of grapes is nurtured individually. This hands-on approach, from monitoring vine growth to grape tasting, culminates in wines of exceptional quality.

Winemaker Ralf Holdenried’s expertise shines through, as he meticulously crafts wines that capture the varietal’s best expression of Napa Valley. The winemaking process involves fermenting micro-lots in various vessels, like wood, concrete, or steel, providing the flexibility to match each batch with the ideal material. With a commitment to seamless, harmonious wines, Black Stallion Estate Winery’s dedication to its terroir and heritage is evident in every bottle.
