Bakerlane Estate Description
Singer Wine at Baker Lane Estate, nestled in Sebastopol, California within the West Sonoma Coast AVA, has a rich history dating back to 2003. Stephen Singer, a culinary enthusiast with over four decades of experience in the food and wine industry, embarked on a journey that led him to establish this estate. Influenced by the visionary wine importer Kermit Lynch’s promotion of Rhône Valley wines, Singer’s appreciation for the Syrah grape grew, eventually driving him to become a farmer and wine producer.
Situated in the picturesque Sebastopol Hills, the Baker Lane Estate vineyards are exclusively dedicated to cultivating northern Rhône Valley varieties, specifically Syrah and Viognier. The estate’s sustainable, regenerative, and non-certified organic farming practices are a testament to their commitment to quality and sustainability.
With each growing season, Singer Wine at Baker Lane Estate learns and adapts, embracing the challenges presented by the unique terroir. Their small-scale production focuses on crafting select wines, including Syrah and Viognier, embodying the culmination of years of dedication and a profound understanding of their vineyards. Singer Wine at Baker Lane Estate’s commitment to quality over quantity is apparent in every bottle, reflecting the character and potential of their remarkable site.
