This wine stands as a testament to the tradition and meticulous care that Piaggia dedicates to each bottle. Produced in the picturesque landscape of Tuscany, Italy, Piaggia Carmignano Riserva showcases the unique terroir and winemaking excellence of the area.

At first glance, the Piaggia Carmignano Riserva 2019 presents a deep, intense ruby red color, signaling the richness and depth waiting to be explored. The color is so vibrant and dense, it almost seems impenetrable, inviting wine lovers to delve deeper into its complexities.

The aroma of this carmignano wine is a symphony of ripe fruits, where cassis and raspberries take the lead, beautifully accented by elegant notes of tobacco, chocolate, and sweet spices. These scents intertwine to create a bouquet that is both inviting and indicative of the wine’s high quality and the land’s aromatic gifts.

Upon tasting, the Piaggia Carmignano Riserva reveals a powerful structure, balanced masterfully with a softness that caresses the palate. The harmony between the soft fruit flavors and the round, mature tannins is nothing short of exquisite. This balance ensures the wine’s suitability for long-term aging, promising to evolve beautifully over the years.

The wine’s flavor profile is complex, with a focus on enveloping elegance and great structure. The tannins are of excellent quality, indicating the wine’s potential to age gracefully while maintaining its organoleptic qualities intact. This makes the Piaggia Carmignano Riserva a perfect companion for the tables of the most demanding consumers worldwide, capable of elevating the experience of enjoying red meat, game, extra mature cheeses, and quality cured meats.

Critically acclaimed, the Piaggia Carmignano Riserva 2019 has received high praise for its refined quality. This wine is described as “Rock Star juice,” a testament to its outstanding character and the promise of even more complexity and enjoyment in the years to come.

The winemaking process for the Piaggia Carmignano Riserva involves careful selection and vinification of the grapes, respecting the characteristics of the territory without the use of selected yeasts. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in French oak barriques and matures for at least 18 months, enhancing its flavor profile and complexity. This meticulous attention to detail is what sets Piaggia Carmignano Riserva apart, making it a modern interpretation of Carmignano and a wine that tells of the beauty of the vineyards and the aromas of the land.

In summary, the Piaggia Carmignano Riserva 2019 is a wine of unparalleled elegance and complexity, embodying the rich history and tradition of the Carmignano region. It's hard to put the glass down while exploring the depths of raspberry compote, dried orange peels, roses, exotic spice and a dusting of cocoa that form the absolutely stunning bouquet of the 2019 Carmignano Riserva Piaggia. This is pure elegance. It's silky and refined as liquid violet florals and ripe red and black fruits easily rush across the palate. Its vibrant acidity maintains exceptional finesse despite the massive primary concentration slowly taking hold. The 2019 finishes long with a coating of sweet tannins and balsamic-tinged cherry. The balance here is amazing, which might trick readers into finishing their bottles far too quickly, but trust me, the best is truly yet to come. This is Rock Star juice. Best After 2024

Piaggia Winery is a cool spot located in Poggio a Caiano, close to Prato, and about 14 kilometers west of Florence, Italy. It was kicked off in the mid-70s by Mauro Vannucci, who snagged some land in the DOC area near Piaggia. Mauro believed the sunny spots and the soil here, which is kind of dry and clay-like, were perfect for growing grapes that would make some top-notch Carmignano wine. By 1991, Mauro had crafted the first Piaggia Carmignano Riserva DOCG, marking the start of his ever-growing passion for wine. He roped in his daughter, Silvia, into the winemaking biz, and she's the boss of Piaggia winery now. They even expanded their turf by adding another 15 hectares in a prime spot of Carmignano, giving a killer view of Florence. All in all, they've got about 25 hectares, with 15...check our brand Piaggia
