Wine Description
Peju Cabernet Sauvignon Legacy Collection 2021 is a stunning blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot, harvested from their estate vineyards in the Napa Valley. This wine was carefully created by renowned winemaker Sara Fowler, who expresses her passion for crafting great wines into each vintage.
This wine pours a deep ruby color, with a medium to full body that carries inviting aromas of dried berries, spice, chocolate and toasty oak. Resting in the glass, the aromas deepen, adding touches of rose petal and tobacco. On the palate, the flavors of dark fruits are complemented by rich, velvety tannins that create a wonderful balance between structure and bold fruit. The finish is long and satisfying, with lingering notes of cocoa and licorice that add a pleasant complexity.
This wine is a special reflection of the terroir in which it was grown, with the drought conditions of the 2021 season resulting in the grapes being packed full of flavor and smaller berry size. These factors create a wine with intense character and structure, and the 16 months spent aging in French and American oak, add layer upon layer of aromas and flavors to this stunning Cabernet Sauvignon.
Peju Cabernet Sauvignon Legacy Collection 2021 is an exquisite representation of winemaker Sara Fowler’s passion for crafting great wines and the renowned Napa Valley terroir. The nose is engaging and the palate offers complex flavors, with the finish lingering with notes of cocoa and licorice. This is a unique and vibrant wine that is sure to offer an enjoyable experience.
