Introducing the Kosta Browne Russian River Pinot Noir 2021, a wine that captures the essence of the renowned Keefer Ranch vineyard in the cool heart of the Russian River Valley. This exceptional Pinot Noir is a product of the winery’s collaboration with the legendary Marcy Keefer since 2005.

In the glass, it reveals a medium ruby hue, beckoning you with vivacious aromas of strawberry, rhubarb, and a hint of citrus zest, all delicately interwoven with subtle notes of black licorice. The nose sets the stage for a wine of remarkable finesse.

On the palate, this Pinot Noir showcases a velvety texture and beautifully smooth tannins. It harmonizes seamlessly with vibrant red fruit flavors, leaving a lasting impression that culminates in a memorable finish. The wine’s lengthy on-skin contact, longer than other Single Vineyard wines, contributes to its impressive depth and complexity.

Crafted by Winemaker Julien Howsepian, this 2021 Russian River Pinot Noir spent 15 months maturing in oak barrels, with 34% new oak to enhance its character. It’s a medium-bodied wine with layers of lavender, licorice, eucalyptus, and forest floor aromatics, complemented by a concentrated core of dark fruit. Abundant, well-integrated oak spice, balanced acidity, and grainy tannins make this wine a true standout.

With a score of 94 points from Wine Advocate, this Pinot Noir has all the qualities to age gracefully. Give it another 2-3 years in the bottle to fully unwind and reveal its true potential.
