This vintage reveals sweet and very juicy fruit and a firm structure, as well as fine tannins and fresh acidity. This is a vintage in which the Malbec really stands out. This is a very age worthy wine.

2 reviews for De Martino Single Vineyard ‘Las Cruces’ Old Vines Field Blend 2018

  1. WA

The aromatic, floral and showy 2018 Las Cruces Old Vine Series is the best year for this field blend that is harvested when the Malbec (approximately 75% of the blend) is ripe, and in 2018, it was extremely precise. At this point in time, the 15th of March, the Carmenere was quite green, and it seems to have added a lot of spark on the palate and a spicy touch. This is a serious, balanced and deep red blend, with very fine, refined tannins. There is a sensation of energy, inner power and elegance. This is hands-down the best vintage for Las Cruces.
