Why this wine gets so many positive reviews is beyond me., (Ok, what do I like that has some of the characteristics that were missing here? (I find it helpful when reviewers do this – gives me a sense of their palate, so I shall do that here.) I’ve had a couple of 2018 Le Pich Cabs lately – they were good. Price was around $54 with ten percent off 6 bottle discount at AJ’s.)

The 8,000-case 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley goes largely to distribution and has to be one of the great values in Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon out there. Classic darker currants, tobacco, chocolate, and some gravelly earth notes all define the nose, and it's medium to full-bodied, has a round, supple, layered mouthfeel, and a great finish. It's more than worth it's going rate.
