    Blackbird Arise 2018, crafted at Blackbird Vineyards under the expert guidance of winemaker Aaron Pott, is a classic Napa blend that showcases the elegance and purity of flavors. This exceptional wine is primarily comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, resulting in a harmonious and sophisticated composition. With minimal winemaking intervention and a deep understanding of the nuanced interplay between wine and oak, Blackbird Arise 2018 is a testament to the countless hours dedicated to perfecting its taste.

    In the glass, this wine presents a deep garnet-purple color that entices the senses. The nose is a captivating blend of aromas, featuring notes of ripe plum, cherry, and pomegranate intertwined with hints of tobacco, forest floor, nutmeg, black pepper, and blood orange zest.     On the palate, Blackbird Arise 2018 delivers a rich and satisfying journey. The mid-palate is infused with the lusciousness of blackberry jam, plum, and cherry, beautifully balanced with earthy tobacco notes.     This exceptional blend comprises 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Franc, 6% Syrah, and 4% Petit Verdot. The wine spent 21 months maturing in handpicked French Oak Barrels, with 50% new oak and 50% seasoned oak, adding layers of complexity and refinement.

    Blackbird Arise 2018 has received well-deserved critical acclaim. With 92 points from Wine Advocate, the wine showcases ripe blackberries, Morello cherries, and redcurrant jelly, supported by hints of pencil shavings and fragrant earth. Decanter awarded it 91 points, praising its precise and silky texture, while noting its value and accurate representation of the 2018 vintage. Jeb Dunnuck granted 90 points, highlighting its meaty nose, balanced palate, and lengthy finish. James Suckling rated it 91 points, noting the aromas of blackberry jam, spiced cherry, licorice, and rosemary.

Medium to full-bodied, the palate has lovely tension and lots of crunchy black and red berry layers, framed by grainy tannins, finishing with an invigorating lift.
