Critical Acclaim
Wine Spectator
There's loamy richness to the dark plum and cherry tart flavors that are vibrant and savory. Pastry accents midpalate lead to notes of cooking spices on the plush finish.
Wine Enthusiast
Smoky aromas are prominent in the first sniff of this ripe, rich-textured and full-bodied wine while underlying black cherry and blackberry jam notes come out with more sipping. The winemaker take the unusual step of toasting a portion of the grape stems to include in the fermenting vats.
