Wine Description

Treana Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 is your quintessential Paso Robles red wine.  From the depth of color and intense nose, this wine is made with structure and purpose.  On the palate, flavors of beautiful rich blackberry, warm vanilla, toasted coffee and black cherry are finished with firm but refined tannins.

After harvest, vineyard lots were fermented individually in stainless-steel tanks for 10- 14 days. Extended macerations and carefully managed pump overs enhanced the extraction of color and tannin. The lots were aged separately for 14 months in a combination 25% once used French Oak and 75% neutral French and American oak. The initial blend was assembled in early January 2022 and aged an additional three months in 100% new French Oak. The wine was racked only twice during its cellar life, with the final racking occurring just prior to bottling.

Austin Hope

In 1978, Austin Hope came to Paso Robles with his family, when his parents bought a ranch and planted both vineyards and apple orchards. When Paul passed away in 1996, Chuck Hope turned to his son to lead the family business. The bold and brash 23 year old jumped in ready to make his mark on the business. Working alongside then winemaker Chris Phelps, Austin quickly learned the ropes began producing a $30 red table wine from Paso Robles, which at... Read More
