Stags’ Leap Petite Sirah 2018 is a staple wine from Napa Valley, CA. This red wine is generous in its core of black and blueberry fruit, pepper spice and floral notes. Petite Sirah is a varietal that is enhanced by the deliberate diversity of vineyard sites, owned by the winery. Grapes from the vineyards located on estate’s deep, rocky soils make up the backbone of this Napa Valley Petite Sirah. Carefully selected fruit from both northern vineyards in Calistoga and St. Helena and southern vineyards in Oakville, Oak Knoll and Coombsville are added to intensify and broaden the wine’s profile to include floral, spice and fruit characteristics.

  1. WE

With small amounts of Syrah, Grenache and other mixed Rhône varieties, this is a soft, integrated and approachable red made in a graceful and balanced style. Savory in black plum, leather, dried herb and cocoa powder, it finds its way to a peppery finish.

Petit Verdot
Petite Sirah, also known as Durif, is a robust black-skinned grape variety renowned for its small, intensely colored berries, contributing to the wine's distinct personality. While it originated in France, it is now primarily cultivated in drier climates such as Australia, California, and Israel due to its preference for extended hang time and resistance to bunch rot in such conditions. The grape's preference for a dry and hot microclimate makes regions like Rutherglen, Victoria, an ideal location for its cultivation, as seen in Australia. In the winery, careful maceration is required to prevent over-extraction, while barrel-aging often involves American oak to complement its tannic structure. The wines produced from Petite Sirah grapes boast a characteristic deep, inky color, owing to...Please check Petite Sirah for more information
