    Wine Description

Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2006, a red wine, is made from grapes sourced from Napa Vally AVA in California. This wine is a ‘Library Release’ from the well known Spring Mountain Vineyards. The wine is dark, brooding mountain cabernet laced with chocolate, caramel and savory spices. Fruit flavors of blackberry, black currant and cassis dominate the aromas with a hint of minerality to add intrigue. Big, full-bodied entry with loads of chewy tannins and a re-statement of the black fruit, chocolate, licorice and stoney minerality on the palate. Excellent weight on the mid-palate, and though the tannins are compact and youthful, the finish remains elegant and persistent.

The grape is known for its thick skin, which helps it to withstand harsh weather conditions, and its small berries, which contribute to its concentrated flavor. Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are typically harvested in the late fall, when the grapes have reached their optimal... Read More
