Wine Description
Tarot Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is rich, dense, dark, powerful and velvety. With black cherry, boysenberry and a hint of dustiness, the nose is reminiscent of walking through a raspberry patch. The wine has good intensity and intrigue coming out of the glass, and the palate follows the nose. With a very full entry, this medium bodied wine has a round and supple mid-palate and lingering fruit notes on the finish.

Mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2019 Tarot comes from a mix of valley floor sites and was raised in mostly neutral French oak. It's a smoking value and offers lots of sweet red and black fruits, notes of herbs de Provence and spice, medium body, ripe, soft tannins, and outstanding length.

Grace Bova –
Spanish-style Napa cab. Dry, deep ruby with plum, raisin, and vegetal notes. Long finish.
Dave Minter –
Balanced wine with plenty of tannins to age well. Tried 2013 and 2015, noticed more tannins in latter but enjoyed both. Will buy more at fair price of 50-60.
Gregory Ontiveros –
Requires patience to fully develop.
Agnes Talley –
Rich fruit with notes of raisins, chocolate, and minerals on the nose. Pepper on the tongue. Soft tannins, low acid, and fuller-bodied. Enjoyed with family. Would buy more to drink now and age for fun.
Candace Loucks –
Full-bodied with fruit and jam notes. Good structure but lacks acidity. Drink ready and enjoyable on its own, not recommended as a food pairing.
Jimmie Aguilar –
Napa with a Bordeaux nose. Mineral, leather, warm spices followed by dark fruits. Plum, blackberry, licorice and tobacco on the palate. Good balance and pairs well with steak. Small finish but great value.
Janet Engstrom –
Juicy and sweet with a high alcohol content, but not flabby. However, it may leave you feeling gross.
Joseph Ranck –
Jan 2021 Vivino rating: 100 points. World Market.
Jocelyn Mendez –
Napa Cab with deep black fruits, medium tannins and a balanced, fruit forward extended finish.
Luis Vanderlip –
Dusty red, tannins are very drying, raspberry notes
Barbara Keys –
Silky, refined Cabernet from Napa. Hints of tar, rubber, and leather with a plum profile. Fine tannins and decent finish.
Sharon Linsley –
Day 1: Disjointed and sharp. Day 2: Mellowed, but needs aging.
Neil Gill –
Promising but tannic, best to wait 8-10 years.
Wm Wilhelm –
Good value young wine, better with age.
Samantha Caldwell –
Decent dark fruits, but lacks tannins and acidity. No distinct Cabernet qualities, tastes more like a cheap Lodi juice. Not worth the $26 clearance price.
Jasper Cheshire –
Ripe cherry, blackberry, currant paste, Moroccan spice and polished stone. Full-bodied and well-balanced. Drink 2022 – 2034.
Mark Diaz –
Soft, floral cab with chewy tannins and a creamy finish. Worth the $29.99 at Costco. 91/100.
Roger Bailey –
Solid but shallow with a tepid nose. Hopefully, future bottles improve.
Richard Mckissack –
Good Napa Cab at decent price. Not a blockbuster.
Pauline Haig –
Excellent cab. Wish I had more bottles.
Melissa Williams –
Great value at $28. Best on day-2, improves over 2-3 years. Decant if drinking now.
Beverly Yates –
Great value wine, but needs decanting to remove oak overload. Serve at the right temperature to maximize its performance.
Michael Albright –
Smooth and accessible. Mom-approved. Arroyo Grill, Pasadena.
Rupert Anderson –
Robust with bright red fruit, balanced with hints of wet forest and spice. Medium tannins and acidity. Great value.
Agnes Depew –
Excellent with braised short ribs and polenta. Buy a case and enjoy now with a quick decant or hold for 4-6 years.
Stephen Clark –
Fruity and excellent for 8 years.
Oma Dahl –
Fantastic value for money. Genius weekly drinker. Makes me want to buy more.
Ronald Groves –
Bold and full-bodied 2018 vintage with strong acid and tannins. Lacks fruit. Best to try again in 2025.
Kelly Hargrove –
Sorry, but the given review “I likeeee” is not enough to rewrite. It does not provide any information about the wine and its taste. Please provide a proper review for me to rewrite.
Daniel Cruz –
Flavorful and balanced with red currant, vanilla, and milk chocolate notes. Full-bodied with a good weight and grip. 4/5.
Deborah Vonstein –
Eye-catching label but unsure if worth the $50cdn price tag. Hints of black fruit on the nose, rush of chalk tannins, bitter fruit, cherry, blackberry, vanilla, oak, and dark chocolate on the palate. Medium plus acidity and medium dry chalk tannins.
