Wine Description
Always a favorite among our team and friends, the 2019 Schrader RBS continues this tradition. Luxurious aromas of blueberry crème brûlée, mixed black and blue fruit mélange, and red cherries burst from the glass with an enticing hint of lightly grilled brioche bread. The ripe fruit flavors dance along the palate and intertwine with flavors of roasted coffee and salted churned butter. The wine’s ample fruit focus is balanced by supple, velvety tannins that give way to an astonishingly silky-smooth finish.

Cabernet Sauvignon is a red grape varietal that is widely regarded as one of the world's most popular and highly valued wine grapes. WA –
A barrel sample, the opaque purple-black colored 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon RBS Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard needs a fair bit of swirling to unlock vibrant notes of dark chocolate-covered cherries, crème de cassis and blueberry preserves, plus suggestions of menthol, fertile loam, licorice and dusty soil. The full-bodied palate is rich and decadent, delivering velvety tannins and soft acidity with loads of spicy sparks coming through on the finish.
JD –
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon RBS displays a more elegant, seamless style, offering full-bodied aromas and flavors of cassis and black raspberries as well [as] tobacco, violets, and Christmas spice. It’s incredibly complex and layered yet lacks a touch of the ‘wow’ factor found in the other cuvées. Don’t kid yourself though – this is still a great wine, and I suspect the rating will seem low once this is bottled.
