Wine Description
The 2019 Odette Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Stags Leap District, offers notes of wild blackberry compote, sweet black raspberries, currants, crème de cassis, and licorice with hints of violets, cloves, anise, and exotic spices. This lavish, full-bodied wine is decadent and mouth-filling, with copious layers that stain the palate. Vibrant acidity adds freshness and verve, complementing the purity of the fruit and leading to a long persistent finish.

Critical Acclaim
Wine Advocate
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 6% Malbec and 2% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color, is prances out of the glass with vibrant blackberries, redcurrant jelly and cassis notes with hints of mocha, Indian spices and bay leaves. Full-bodied with flamboyant black fruits and velvety tannins in the mouth, it has a refreshing backbone and long, spicy finish.
Jeb Dunnuck
A blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 6% Malbec, and the rest Petit Verdot, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate comes all from the cool Stags Leap District and was brought up mostly in new French oak. It's a full-bodied, ripe, powerful 2019 that nevertheless stays balanced and weightless on the palate, with silky tannins and a rare level of polish and elegance. Giving up lots of pure cassis and blue fruits as well as notes of violets, underbrush, and high-class oak, it already offers pleasure yet is going to evolve gracefully for 20 years or more. If you're looking for ripe, sexy, seamless, and impeccably made Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, look no further.
Vinous
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is an especially opulent, full-throttle wine off this site. Racy and sumptuous to the core, the Estate is a terrific example of the extroverted side of the vintage. Inky fruit, chocolate, new leather and spice build as this sumptuous Cabernet shows off its curves. I imagine the 2019 will drink well with minimal cellaring.

The grape is known for its thick skin, which helps it to withstand harsh weather conditions, and its small berries, which contribute to its concentrated flavor. Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are typically harvested in the late fall, when the grapes have reached their optimal... Read More

The Stags Leap District AVA, located in Napa Valley, California, is renowned for producing exceptional wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. Situated on the eastern side of the valley, it is bordered by the Napa River to the west and the Stags Leap Palisades to the east. The soil profile of the Stags Leap District is diverse and contributes to the distinct characteristics of the wines. Deep purple, youthful color. Oak and vanilla nose. Mouthful of wine with ripened blackberry and mild vanilla. Dark fruit forward with green notes, minimal sweetness, mild acidity, and a luscious finish. Not great with Italian food, better by itself.
Lydia Warren –
Smooth and well-made, but lacking character and identity. Only one glass was enough.

Great depth and aroma, but lacking in finish. Still, a well-crafted wine.
Casey Juariqui –
Abundant black fruit notes.
Terri Leininger –
Deep, plummy magenta color with notes of gingerbread, Korean plum, wild strawberry, and white pepper on the nose. Smooth palate with soft tannins, but the finish falls short.

Promising but young. Bright cherry color. Jammy cherry and raspberry on the palate with syrup. Delicate for a Stags Leap wine after 3 hours. Grippy tannins suggest long life. Second bottle to try in 3 years.

Great wine, hints of nougat, chocolate, blackberry, blueberry, orange rind and black tea. Smooth, dry with plush tannins on a long finish. Sharp tar note, needs a 2-3 hour decant if drinking now.
