As you swirl your glass of 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, deep purple and blue aromas dance out with notes of pomegranate, blackberries, leather, cassis, macerated cherries, and confectionary spice. There is a dichotomy of tension and plush richness at the mid palate that provide layers of complexity and incredible length. This is a truly exceptional vintage for Cabernet Sauvignon.

5 reviews for Larkmead Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

  1. WE

This is structured, complex, dense and lengthy, a celebration of dark berry fruit that is layered and velvety smooth on the palate. Tobacco, oak and dried herb accent it with ease, complementing and contrasting in myriad ways and landing on a sophisticated finish.

  2. WA

Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the deep garnet-purple colored 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon (White Label) features fragrant notes of red and black plums, lavender and mossy tree bark, over a core of cassis and boysenberries. The medium to full-bodied palate is refreshing and vibrant, delivering an approachable texture and herbal lift on the finish.

  3. JD

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon sports a ruby/plum hue to go with medium to full-bodied aromas and flavors of dried herbs, loamy earth, chocolate, and tobacco, as well as both red and black fruits. It’s another elegant, medium to full-bodied wine offreing ripe tannins, good overall balance, and outstanding length.

  4. JS

Currants and berries with flowers. Raspberries, too. Medium to full body with medium tannins and a juicy, fruity finish. Soft and delicious to drink now. Drink or hold.

  5. VIN

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is a gorgeous introduction to the vintage at Larkmead. Pliant and supple, the Cabernet offers tons of near term appeal. Sweet red cherry, red plum, pomegranate, spice and blood orange infuse the 2019 with layers of nuance and complexity. Best of all the 2019 will drink well with minimal cellaring.
