Wine Description

2017 Laird Jillian’s Red Blend is a truly unique blend. The eye-catching deep red-purple appearance is followed by a ripe nose showcasing flavors of blackberry, applewood smoked bacon and anise. The palate is a longlasting note of excellence, with a soft, plush mouthfeel and standout flavors, such as cherry, cassis, Madagascar vanilla, crème leche and tobacco leaf. This is the perfect wine to be your favorite everyday red or to enjoy at your next backyard cookout. Drink now through 2030.

Our family has been proudly growing grapes in Napa Valley for two generations; this unique fusion of four varietals honors the third generation in our farming family, our daughter Jillian. This Left Bank Bordeaux-style blend with atwist of Rhone is structured, but easy to drink.

  1. WS

Bursts with fan-friendly boysenberry, plum and blackberry compote flavors all wrapped in black licorice. Features flashes of singed apple wood and bramble, which add cut and contrast on the fruit-driven finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2030. 2,401 cases made.

  2. WA

…the deep purple-black colored 2017 Proprietary Red Jillian’s Blend has a baked blackberries, spice cake, tobacco and new leather-scented nose with menthol and grilled meats hints. Medium to full-bodied, it is juicy in the mouth with rounded tannins and a peppery kick to the finish.

  3. JS

This shows some tension and form this year with blueberry, blackberry and walnut undertones to the ripe tannins. Medium body and a delicious finish…
