Wine Description

Savory, earth-driven and lifted by floral aromatics. Violet candies, balsamic, nutmeg, espresso bean, black pepper, black cherry and ripe blackberry. Stunning, graceful and complete. Polished and drinking beautifully today directly out of the bottle. The definition of balance. Robust dark fruit, buoyed by energetic acidity and buffered by soft and coating tannins. A seamless and approachable Todos. Highlighting syrah on the nose with a strong cabernet sauvignon voice on the palate. The complex and layered structure is a ten-variety ensemble effort. Fascinating and sumptuous.

  1. JD

Always a good value, the 2018 Todos checks in as a kitchen sink blend of 45% Syrah, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Petit Verdot, 9% Petite Sirah, and the rest Merlot and other miscellaneous varieties. Its inky, glass-staining purple color is followed by a beautiful bouquet of smoked black fruits, bouquet garni, peppered meat, and hints of crushed rock. It’s rich, medium to full-bodied, beautifully balanced, and just a gorgeous wine. Winemaker Matt Dees continues to fashion world class wines at Jonata.

  2. JS

Opulent and elevated on the nose with black truffle, blackberries, flowers and orange blossom. Medium-to full-bodied, rich, round and juicy. Lots going on here. A little time in the bottle with soften it. Syrah, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, petite sirah and others. Drink or hold.

  3. VIN

The 2018 Todos is a very pretty wine. Best of all, it can be enjoyed now, with minimal cellaring. Bright red cherry, plum fruit and lively acids make for a super appealing, juicy red with tons of immediacy and pure appeal.

The term "Red Blend" refers to red wines that are crafted from unusual or uncommon grape varieties or combinations thereof. It is also a convenient label for wines whose specific blend is either unknown or undisclosed. While these rare red-wine blends are typically intricate, many of them adhere to specific patterns. Numerous blends are regional variations of the renowned Bordeaux Blend. By incorporating their local signature grape alongside a basic Cabernet-Merlot blend, various regions have successfully expanded the appeal of their wines while still maintaining a distinct regional character. In Italy, this is accomplished by utilizing local specialties like Sangiovese, Montepulciano, and even the unique Lagrein from Trentino. In Austria, this is achieved with grapes like Zweigelt or...
