Chris Ringland

Chris Ringland, the acclaimed winemaker, embarked on his vinous journey with a humble home winemaking experiment in Auckland, New Zealand, during his teenage years. This fascination with winemaking led him to pursue an Oenology science degree in Australia at the University of Adelaide's Roseworthy Agricultural College. After graduating in 1982, Ringland gained winemaking experience in New Zealand and California before serendipitously returning to Australia's Barossa Valley in 1986. His talent caught the eye of Robert O’Callaghan, leading to an 18-vintage stint at Rockford Wines. In 1989, he launched his own project, Three Rivers Shiraz, later becoming Chris Ringland Shiraz.
