Lawrence Cronin, a seasoned winemaker with a deep-rooted connection to his Italian heritage, has left an indelible mark on the world of winemaking. Hailing from New York City, Lawrence’s upbringing instilled in him an appreciation for his family’s ancestral ties to Castellammare del Golfo, a charming Sicilian fishing village.
His journey in the realm of wine began in 1995 at Edmeades Winery in California’s Anderson Valley. Before joining Tenuta di Arceno, he embarked on winemaking adventures across the globe, including stints at renowned wineries like Firriato in Sicily, Cloudy Bay in New Zealand, Cape Mentelle in Australia, and Calina in Chile.
In 2002, Lawrence assumed the role of Winemaker at Tenuta di Arceno, guided by the esteemed Vigneron Pierre Seillan. Together, they have propelled this historic estate to the upper echelons of Tuscan winemaking, crafting exceptional wines that reflect Lawrence’s passion, expertise, and his deep connection to his Italian roots.
