Meet Kirk Venge, a winemaker whose passion for farming and winemaking runs deep in his veins. Growing up surrounded by the vineyards and wineries of Rutherford, Napa Valley, Kirk was instilled with a vision of excellence by his father. He learned the art of winemaking from an early age, working alongside his father, Nils Venge, in the family vineyard and winery.

Kirk’s dedication to his craft led him to pursue a degree in Viticulture and Enology at the renowned University of California, Davis. He honed his skills during internships and travels in prominent wine regions worldwide. In 2003, he took the reins of Venge Family Reserve wines, building on his father’s legacy.

In 2008, Kirk acquired ownership of the winery and wasted no time in establishing a new estate winery in Calistoga. Focusing on the vineyard first, he purchased the Bone Ash Vineyard, recognizing its potential for producing exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon.

With a wealth of experience, Kirk Venge’s wines continue to impress, a testament to his unwavering dedication to quality and his family’s winemaking tradition. As he leads Venge Winery into the future, the legacy of Napa Valley’s winemaking excellence is safe in his hands.
