Paolo Saracco Description
Nestled in the heart of the Moscato d’Asti region lies Castiglione Tinella, the home of Paolo Saracco, a name synonymous with exquisite Moscato wines. Their journey began in the early 1900s when Luigi Saracco, the family patriarch, introduced aromatic Moscato wine to the market, initially selling it in bulk to Vermouth producers.
Under the guidance of Luigi’s son, Giovanni, from 1950 to 1988, the family expanded their vineyards, increased grape production, and adapted their methods to meet market demands, particularly for Asti Spumante.
In 1988, the reins of this illustrious winemaking legacy passed to Paolo Saracco, who, after studying oenology, embarked on the journey of bottling Moscato under his label. This pivotal decision allowed wine enthusiasts worldwide to savor the allure of a perfectly balanced Moscato d’Asti.
Paolo Saracco’s success stems from meticulous vineyard management and a harmonious blend of tradition and technology. Their vineyards sprawl across 50 hectares in Castiglione Tinella, the ideal terroir for Moscato grapes.
Today, Paolo Saracco continues to be a beacon of excellence in the world of Moscato, all stemming from their deep-rooted commitment to quality and a prime location that captures the essence of this aromatic wine.
