Domaine Drouhin

Nestled atop the picturesque Dundee Hills in Oregon’s Willamette Valley lies Domaine Drouhin, a wine estate that has redefined the art of winemaking. Founded by Robert Drouhin, this vineyard opened its doors with a vision to craft Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines that could rival the esteemed vineyards of Burgundy.

The estate spans 235 acres, with 130 acres dedicated to Pinot Noir and 13 acres to Chardonnay. These vines are planted in harmony with the Oregon terroir, reflecting the essence of the region. What sets Domaine Drouhin apart is its commitment to sustainability, holding L.I.V.E. certification, and a meticulous hand-tended farming approach.

Every aspect of winemaking is a labor of love at DDO. Grapes are handpicked into small totes, ensuring the arrival of pristine fruit at their four-level gravity-flow winery. Fermentation is carried out using traditional Burgundian techniques, preserving the wine’s natural character.

Their Pinot Noir ages in French Oak barrels, carefully selected and custom-made in Burgundy. After meticulous aging and blending, the wines rest in the bottle room, maturing gracefully for 6 to 18 months before release.
